Scripture
1 John 2:20 "But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things."
1 John 2:21 "I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of
the truth."
1 John 2:22 "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and
the Son."
They are not willing to accept Christ or the Truth by faith.
And look what happens,
When the Son is denied or contradicted in His purpose the Father is also denied or contradicted.
There are many today
who are seeking after the Father, but are denying the Son and in the process have denied the Father as well.
The Scripture said,
".denieth the Father and the Son."
They would never admit it,
because the Truth is hid from them.
They do not know the Secrets and Mysteries of God.
Look at the very next verse.
1 John 2:23 "Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the
Father also."
1 John 2:24 "Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard
from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father."
1 John 2:25 "And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life."
1 John 2:26 "These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you."
1 John 2:27 "But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach
you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye
shall abide in him."
Those that are abiding
will be taught by the Truth
and know the Truth
and know the Secrets and Mysteries of God.
1 John 2:28 "And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be
ashamed before him at his coming."
The sermon is about
Knowing the Secrets and Mysteries of God.
Text
Amos 3:7 "Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets."

Proof
Preacher,
are you sure of that?
Isn't this an obscure, isloated verse?
Not at all,
look at
Gen 18:17 "And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;"
Gen 18:18 "Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall
be blessed in him?"
Gen 18:19 "For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the
way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of
him."
Then, right after this verse,
God commences to tell Abraham
He is going to bring judgment on Sodom and Gomorrah.
I am certain
that God reveals more to some than others not because He likes them more but because they love Him more.

He it is that loveth Me
John 14:19 "Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also."
John 14:20 "At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you."
Note these men
are going to discover some things about God.
Some secrets are going to be revealed.
To whom
will these secrets be revealed?
John 14:21 "He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be
loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him."
They will know a Secret
about the Lord.
They will know something about the Lord that those who do not keep His commandments will not know.
Notice what it says
we must do what Jesus does.
And, what is that?
Love God will all you have
and
love your neighbor as yourself
This is not born-again
but this is what people who are already born again must do.
Skip down to verse 26
John 14:26 "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you
all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."
The person that abides with Christ
will know Christ better
will know the Father better
will know some things
The Father and Christ will reveal.

Fear
Watch the next verse
to see where much of the problem lies.
John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your
heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
Because fear
will keep love away,
will keep knowledge of the Father away,
will keep knowledge of Christ away,
will keep the sweet secret knowledge of peace away.

Disrespectful of God
Psa 25:14 "The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will show them his covenant."
It used to be
that people were afraid to say ···
They were heathen.
They were atheists.
Because they had a healthy respect for God.
God's almighty power.
God's ever-watchful eye.
God's ever-present being.
God's eternal judgment.
The Secrets and Mysteries of God
are understood by those that have a Fear of God.

Perversion
Prov 3:32 "For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous."
The perverts are calling
right, wrong;
wrong, right.
Incidentally
when I say pervert
I am not talking about just the homosexuals, but ···
They pervert the truth.
They twist it to make it fit their life style.
They also,
have no revelation of Truth and they see no Secrets of God.
They understand none of His Mysteries.

Natural Man
1 Cor 2:12 "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the
things that are freely given to us of God."
1 Cor 2:13 "Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost
teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual."
Look at the next verse.
1 Cor 2:14 "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him:
neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."
1 Cor 2:15 "But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man."
1 Cor 2:16 "For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ."
Not only can the natural man
not receive the things of God, but
God relegates him to a place where he cannot even see God's face.
God calls the natural man by the name of the leader of natural men, Satan.
Mat 16:23 "But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou
savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men."

Scorners
Prov 14:6 "A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth."
This verse teaches
the criticizers are grippers, complainers, murmurers, belly-achers, because they have no understanding of the situation.

Lying Spirits
The King of Israel and the King of Judah
were trying to decide whether to go to battle or not.
They had called in false prophets
who said they should, but the King of Judah who had some light from God and knew a few of God's Secrets, asked if there was
not a True Prophet around?
The King of Israel said there was a True Prophet, but he never prophesied good stuff.
1 Ki 22:15 "So he came to the king. And the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go against Ramothgilead to battle,
or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king."
1 Ki 22:16 "And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but that which
is true in the name of the LORD?"
1 Ki 22:17 "And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the hills, as sheep that have not a shepherd: and the LORD
said, These have no master: let them return every man to his house in peace."
1 Ki 22:18 "And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would prophesy no good
concerning me, but evil?"
1 Ki 22:19 "And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all
the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left."
1 Ki 22:20 "And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one
said on this manner, and another said on that manner."
1 Ki 22:21 "And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him."
1 Ki 22:22 "And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the
mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so."
1 Ki 22:23 "Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the
LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee."
1 Ki 22:24 "But Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said, Which way
went the spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee?"
But we know
the revelation of ···
Prov 28:13 "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy."
Apparently God knows the verse, Himself
look at the next verse.
1 Ki 22:25 "And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see in that day, when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide
thyself."
1 Ki 22:26 "And the king of Israel said, Take Micaiah, and carry him back unto Amon the governor of the city, and to
Joash the king's son;"
1 Ki 22:27 "And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with
water of affliction, until I come in peace."
1 Ki 22:28 "And Micaiah said, If thou return at all in peace, the LORD hath not spoken by me. And he said, Hearken,
O people, every one of you."

We don't know, but we could
1 Cor 2:9 "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things
which God hath prepared for them that love him."
But we could know ···
1 Cor 2:10 "But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things
of God."
1 John 1:5 "This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him
is no darkness at all."
1 John 1:6 "If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:"
1 John 1:7 "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of
Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."
Sunlight
The sun is not like a flashlite
that only shines in one direction at a time.
The sun shines out
in all directions at the same time.
And equally in every direction.
The same for the Light from the Father.
It goes out from Him in every direction at the same time.
But there are those
that choose to sit in darkness and miss altogether what God has shown to them.
Sunlight on coal or diamond
The sun shines into every area of the earth and up against everything, no matter how big or small, no matter how cheap or
valuable.
When the sun shines on a piece of coal
which is mostly carbon and black hardly any of the light is reflected out again.
But when the sun shines on a diamond
which is the same piece of coal which had been heated, and pressed and tried and found true, the light is reflected in a dazzling
array of colors and brightness.
And those that look on that diamond
know and understand fully the aspects of the diamond.
But the coal hides its true self from the rest.
