1 Kings 21:1 ¶ And it came to pass after these things, that Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard, which was in Jezreel, hard by the palace of Ahab king of Samaria.
1 Kings 21:2 And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money. 1 Kings 21:3 And Naboth said to Ahab, The LORD forbid it me, that I should give the inheritance of my fathers unto thee.
1 Kings 21:4 And Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him: for he had said, I will not give thee the inheritance of my fathers. And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread.
1 Kings 21:5 ¶ But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said unto him, Why is thy spirit so sad, that thou eatest no bread?

1. Psychology is a threat to Society

It allows the guilty to go blameless.
Nobody makes corrections for actions to which they have no blame, therefore the guilty are allowed to keep doing the same errors.
Society will soon become anarchy.

2. Psychology is a threat to Culture

It allows the guilty to remain cultureless.
The guilty have an excuse to not personally advance their personal culture. None of my actions are my fault. I cannot attain to what the others have expanded to. I am justified to remaining ignorant, desire driven, entertainment seeking.

3. Psychology is a threat to Christianity

It encourages the re-writing of morality.
The guilty are allowed to stay outside the bounds of morality, even deny its existence, or worse make up their own morality which is always less than previous generations. I cannot quit molesting children because I am a victim of what the environment has made of me, so I am not wrong in taking the rights of others.

Psychology says that man is a creature of evolution and has a ...
* body
* mind
* personality

If all animals are blood relatives in respect to bodily structure, must they not also be the same in respect to behavior and mentality? And just the opposite, must we not be the same as animals.
* Man looks like a beast
* Man must think like a beast
* Man must be innocent like a beast
He is simply the product of his environment.

We are what we are because we were ...
* raised that way
* treated that way
* given those feelings and drives at birth
* etc.

The Bible says differently

1Th 5:23 ¶ And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Since a man is born again, he is no longer condemned to punishment, but is subject to chastisement and is blamable for his actions.

Man has a free will. He can choose what he does. He may be tempted by many, but he has a free will and must choose to either sin or not.

Psychology says

Man must change their environment to fit their personality, or fit what the environment has done to him.

The Bible says differently

1 Cor 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

We must not fit into the needs of man, perverted or not.
We must fit into God's plan or pattern.
The method of attainment to this is through God's power to transform us in every way.
Since we are bought, we are expected to fit in with the owner.

1 Cor 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

4. Psychology is a threat to Authority

Ahab and Jezebell had the notion that they had absolute power over their subjects.

1 Kings 21:6 And he said unto her, Because I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard for money; or else, if it please thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it: and he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard.
1 Kings 21:7 And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? arise, and eat bread, and let thine heart be merry: I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.

Psychology says

Man has the ability to judge the actions of other men and that if needed they can set a new standard for right and wrong.

I had a health and welfare case worker tell me that nothing could be done because the psychiatrist said that what was being done for certain teenager was the prognosis for the diagnosis.
I asked if the psychiatrist was correct in the diagnosis and prognosis. The case worker told me, yes.
I said, then why does the treatment not work? Why is the problem getting worse? Why is the patient not responding?

In less than 2 weeks, they gave control of the teen to the mother to take him even out of state, for help any kind of help that she saw fit. All of which was virtually impossible for the previous year, while they experimented, calling it treatment.

He went to a good Christian Boys Home and was responding in 2 weeks and doing excellent well in side the required year's stay.

The Bible Says ...

Exo 20:2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. {bondage: Heb. servants}
Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

To allow Psychology to decide right and wrong is to allow it to become a god.
